What to expect during your session:

During an Acupuncture consultation, you can expect a comprehensive investigation using traditional methods which include questioning and inspecting with traditional tongue and pulse analysis. A diagnosis relating to your concerns and overall well-being is reached, with a prescription of Acupuncture points applied. Very fine single-use sterile needles are gently inserted through the skin to obtain a therapeutic result. The needles are retained for a period of time appropriate to the individual, and then carefully removed. You will be ok to go about your regular activities, though it is best to avoid taxing or rigorous activities for the rest of the day to allow the changes to settle. Jasmine will discuss the proposed treatment plan with you to work with your unique health goals.

Acupuncture is an extraordinary medical tradition being utilised for many thousands of years and spanning many cultures. Acupuncture works with the body’s energetic anatomy and sensitive internal interactions. Acupuncture works with the vital energies of Qi, Yin & Yang, to allow the body to heal itself. The balance of the vital energies is integral to well-being. There are hundreds of significant points over the body where the energy can be more directly influenced, these are the Acupuncture points. The needles influence the points and channels, which influence internally. Imbalance is the catalyst where illness has the space to develop. Imbalance is often created by stress, trauma, injury, dietary factors, overwork and environmental factors. Acupuncture can be a great intervention on its own or in conjunction with your current Naturopathic or medical regimen for treatment, management or prevention.
