Remedial Massage

Your therapist will work to warm muscles and tendons that are damaged, knotted or needing repair. They will treat the whole body and trace the discomfort back to the original cause. They use specialised techniques to support and speed up the body’s own repair mechanisms. The massage is applied directly to the skin using an oil as a lubricant. Passive stretching may also be employed.

Myofascial Release and Postural Assessment

These supplement techniques can relieve chronic tension, improve posture and relieve painful symptoms of chronic diseases.

Trigger Point Therapy

The therapist aims to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. You may actively participate through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort. The results and benefits of trigger point therapy are releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain.

Lymphatic Drainage

This technique aims to relax the nervous system and aids the body’s immune system. If you are prone to or recovering from sore throats, colds, infections, on-going tiredness, excess fluids, low immunity, swollen node or you are physically inactive, this treatment may benefit you.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-intrusive massage based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face and ears correspond with different areas of the body. After seeing your therapist, you may feel reduced tension and more relaxed as a result of the treatment helping the body to restore its balance naturally.

Not Sure What Type of Massage you Require?

NatMed’s Massage therapist will tailor the treatment to your needs. When you arrive you are asked to fill in a musculoskeletal questionnaire and you are asked where any tension or pain may be. Your therapist will then tailor your massage therapy treatment to you.
