My Story

English born, emigrated to Australia in 80’s, after having 3 children back in the 90’sI have to say I was generally happy with my health, body composition & thankful I had the insight to avoid fad diets & quick-fix media driven protocols that many people adopt in an attempt to improve their health.

Even though I was a busy mum & working when I could in the family business, I still knew how important it was to factor in regular exercise & avoid eating highly processed convenient food for myself & my family.

In my early 40’s, I decidedby the time I reached my 50’s, I wanted to maintain good health retain my activity level. It was about that time when mteenage daughter was going through disordered eating patternsso in an effort to help her I realised I needed to acquireREAL, CREDIBLE, EVIDENCED BASED SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE.

So I committed myself to a 3 year Bachelor of Science degreein Psychology, but it was not long before I realised the impact Nutrition has on the brain, so transferred into ‘Nutritional Medicine’ at Endeavour College of Natural Medicine for a further 3 years.

Upon completing this degree I could see there was a gap between allied complimentary practitioners & the current medicine model used by doctors & was not sure what to do next.

During a seminar in Sydney I was fortunate to be in the presence of some who I now deem to be the man who changed my directionone of the Founders of Functional Medicine, Professor Jeffrey Bland.

As a Functional Medicine Nutritional PractitionerI encourage all my clients to educate themselves on the power of food look at their health from an holistic point of view, by maintaining good mental health as well as a good body composition, level of fitness, good eating habits, regular exercise, an active metabolism to keep you feeling great.

By consuming a wellbalanced diet of whole foods we can guard against many of the Chronic Illness/Disease that is escalating in our society eg. diabetes, obesity, cancer, autoimmune disease, IBD, cardio vascular disease, mental health & more commonly chronic fatigue.

NOW MY MISSION, IS TO SHARE MY KNOWLEDGE OF NUTRITIONAL MEDICINE TO HELP YOU, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR FRIENDS TO SEE THE BENEFITSTHE POWER THAT FOOD HAS ON OUR BODIES.

Food is information to our bodies, it can be the best information or the slowest poison, so if we give it the wrong food (information) it will struggle to achieve optimum health & wellness.
