Ginger root (Zingiber officinale)

Properties :

  • Anti-emetic,
  • anti-inflammatory,
  • anti-oxidant,
  • antiseptic,
  • anti-viral,
  • circulation-stimulating,
  • detoxifying,
  • mild laxative,
  • perspiration-inducing,
  • warming.

Uses

For nausea: in pregnancy and of travel sickness. For wind, colic and irritable bowel. For the cold, flu and poor circulation. For Menstrual cramps as well as bloating, heartburn and flatulence. Gastrointestinal problems such as gas or stomach cramps, and lowers cholesterol.

Ginger root can be made into herbal tea, it’s used as a home remedy for indigestion, nausea, and to ward off colds, flu, and sore throats. Drink this tea to ease gut inflammation and boost your liver health.
