Clinical Nutritionist B.Sc (Honours)
Blake studied nutrition at Curtin University, completing his B.Sc in 2004 and B.Sc (Honours) in 2005, and ran a health clinic in Subiaco for almost six years before joining NatMed. His honours thesis was titled ‘Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: An investigation of the interrelationships between serum copper/zinc, subjective disability & fatigue’. Blake uses a range of modalities in his practice including nutrient & other supplementation, dietary modification, herbal medicine, detoxification, environmental medicine, neuro-physiological therapies (e.g. HRV biofeedback and coherent breathing) and lifestyle modifications.
Since 2002 Blake has continually refined and expanded a detailed 18 page, 8000 word health questionnaire, designed to screen for a wide range of possible causes of a persons health issues. He also uses a range of cutting edge integrative lab tests, including parasite testing, saliva adrenal hormone testing and fructose malabsorption breath testing.
